Joey Essex comes to Town

Educating Essex, Joey Essex was given a grand tour of the town by Mr. Christmas aka Andy Park.

Andy said, “It was a great day. He came to Melksham and we had a wander around, went for a coffee, went to the bank – no-one recognised him though as he had a big bobble hat on!

“It was for his show Educating Joey Essex, the Christmas special ‘What You Sleighing’ and Joey wanted to find out the meaning of Christmas. We had a Christmas dinner, pulled crackers, exchanged presents and watched the Queen’s speech on DVD. He brought me jumper and I had a bauble specially made by Whitehall Garden Centre with Joey Essex on it.

“He thought I was wacky but he said it was good fun and if it made me happy then why shouldn’t I celebrate Christmas day every day.”

1-42-IMG2483Had a great afternoon making a video for my song 'Its Christmas Everyday' at the Caenhill Countryside Centre with the volunteers and animals. Of course it gave me a chance to see Tinsel my sponsored Turkey who like the other sponsored animals appeared in the video.

I am helping as the Centre which helps with education about farming and the countryside for children and is completely run by volunteers. You will be able to see the video soon and I am sure it will make you *smile*

Christmas wrapping with tinsel the turkey

IMG1819

It was good to visit the Caenhill Countryside Centre and visit my sponsored turkey called Tinsel. He is growing fast and to get him in the mood I brought him down some Christmas decorations. He enjoyed but think he was looking for some feed.

The Centre is being set up to help educated children about farming & the countryside centre and are looking for sponsorship for its animals so it was good to be able to help & sponsor a turkey.

My adopted turkey named Tinsel

tinsel the tukeyIt was great to visit the Caenhill Countryside Centre today to see my adopted turkey Tinsel and get a few photos taken. I cannot believe how fast tinsel is growing and he is enjoying the freedom of walking around the farm and enjoying the fact that Christmas will not mean he will be Christmas dinner!.

I came across tinsel by chance and so please that the Centre took in my turkey. The Centre is set up to teach children about the countryside and farming. They are run by volunteers and looking for people to sponsor animals (pigs, goats, cattle, hens, turkeys, ducks and a donkey looking for sponsorship) so they can be housed and fed so children have a chance to get to learn about animals. A very worthy cause and looking to make a special fun christmas video at the farm with the animals and volunteers. Let me know if you want to take part.

If you want to sponsor an animal drop a line to helie@caenhillcc.org.uk or visit their website http://www.caenhillcc.org.uk/

A few photos from the photo shoot - the volunteers and of course tinsel
